Cheryl creates a safe place, free of judgment, so clients feel free to express themselves and feel supported and heard. She help clients build their self-esteem by building on their strengths, learning positive coping skills, and guiding clients on working through solutions. She believes that every struggle is an opportunity to learn and find growth from within.
Cheryl is a licensed clinical therapist. She received her undergraduate and master’s degree from Wanye State University. Cheryl has 11 years of experience having worked with diverse populations in urban areas with a focus on mental health and building community. She has also worked in acute mental health hospital, working with population with acute diagnosis, including substance abuse, behavioral addictions, sexual addictions, personality disorders, social problem, trauma, depression, panic, grief and loss, chronic pain, self-esteem issues, mood disorders.
Cheryl works in the Troy office seeing adolescents of 12 and up and adults.
