Alan Briscoe was graduated from Oakland University in June,
1991 with a Master’s Degree in Counseling.He is a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Alan, formerly a General Motors engineer, is especially
sensitive to what many automotive employees are presently experiencing through
anxiety and fear of separation from their chosen careers and retirement issues.
Alan works with men’s issues, specifically, men going
through crisis – either in their personal life or their business life.He has worked with both men and women in the areas of
depression and anxiety.Alan also is
privileged to work with older male adolescents, marital counseling and
substance abuse. Alan also specializes in working with Military, Police, and Fire Fighters.
He has done work over the years as a volunteer
counselor at Common Ground. He has facilitated working with children involved
with divorce recovery, co-facilitated an on-going Grief Share program at his
home church, Faith Lutheran in Troy, Michigan and has been an Event Director
for Special Olympics for the past 21 years.
