Mary works with children, adolescents and adults with a wide
variety of issues including depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, anger, oppositional
behavior, stress management, sexual abuse, parenting issues, mood disorders,
social and communication skills.She is
comfortable using a Biblical/scriptural approach if it is appropriate.
Biographical Information:
Mary graduated from Missouri
State University
with a Bachelor’s of Social Work in 1999 and received her Master’s in Clinical
Social Work from Missouri
State in 2001. She understands the importance of looking at
individual issues as well as environmental impact on the client’s overall growth and well-being. Mary uses a supportive, cognitive-behavioral
approach in therapy and is very passionate about promoting personal growth and
self-awareness in her clients.
Mary has experience working in psychiatric
hospitals and currently teaches psychology-related undergraduate courses at a
local college.She has a very well-rounded approach
to counseling drawing from both her formal education and her life experiences.
Mary is married and is the mother to two children.She is very involved in her church in various
roles including teaching high school age students.
