Biographical Information:

Lynne earned her Bachelor of Arts in Counseling, Summa Cum Laude, from Rochester College CEL Program and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Oakland University. Her post grad coursework at Oakland University includes working toward a Specialization in Marriage and Family Certification. She has also earned credit work from the Gottman Institute in Marriage and Family, one of the leading marriage and family institutions in the nation. She has certification in Counseling Supervision and has Specail Education Advocacy training from Michigan Protection and Advocacy. Lynne was the Co-founder and Leader of the Rochester Area ADHD Support Group from 1992-98. Additionally, she was involved in the Oakland County Wraparound program 1994-99, serving as committee chairperson and family support to over 30 families where children were at risk of out of home placement. Further specializations include the Oakland County training in Critical Incident Stress Management. She has served as an Instructor at Rochester College 2003-04. Her prior work history includes counseling at Genesis Counseling 2001-03. Her current employment includes Perspectives of Troy/Sterling Heights 2003-present as an outpatient therapist and Common Ground Sanctuary 2001-present, as an emergency psychiatric screener for individuals suffering from acute mental illness and substance abuse.

In 1998, Lynne received an award from Governor Engler for "Excellence in Family Preservation, Volunteer of the Year". She has a strong history of professional association involvement and leadership. She served as the Past Vice President of Oakland University's Graduate Counseling Student Association and was a Member of Chi Sigma Lota - Honor Society International. She is currently a member of many professional associations: American Counseling Association; National Board for Certified Counselors; Michigan Counselor Association; American Mental Health Counselors Association; and the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors.

Lynne's professional training has prepared her to support a full spectrum of presenting issues that include, but not limited to: partner/relational and family problems such as surviving infidelity, sexual compulsivity, separation and divorce; depression and anxiety in adults, children & adolescents; internet addictions, cyber bullying and predator safety; substance abuse; and acute and chronis illness and pain.
