Biographical Information: 

Amy earned an MA in Counseling from Oakland University (2005) and completed an Advanced Professional Specialization in Mental Health Counseling from OU (2006). Amy’s experience in church ministry, education and spiritual formation as well as her work with local social service organizations for over ten years led her to pursue a vocation in counseling. “I’m in awe of the resiliency that people possess. Despite the hardships we endure, God gave us an innate desire to live and to love. It’s a privilege to journey with people coping with life challenges and to share in the process of healing and the renewal of hope.”

Amy is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). She gained valuable counseling experience at an area agency before joining the Perspectives of Troy team in 2008.
